SUPPORTING THOSE WHO SUPPORT THE COMMUNITY.

Nonprofits Assistance Fund and MAP for Nonprofits were two well-known, well-loved players with shared values that significantly impacted Minnesota’s thriving nonprofit community. Then, in early 2017, the mission-driven organizations merged to become a singular empowering force with the vital resources, knowledge, and expertise that nonprofit organizations need to soar and achieve their missions.

The newly combined entity needed a new brand name, positioning, identity, and messaging to distinguish itself in the marketplace. It also needed to reassure its community partners that it could still provide an impressive depth, breadth, and reach of resources. Level helped create a brand presence that reflected this new nonprofit’s unstoppable drive, strength, and commitment.

To fully understand the nonprofit market situation and the stakeholders involved, our agency team dived into research and conducted focus groups. We actively listened to the mission-driven members of the blended internal teams, inspired by their drive, compassion, and intention to move communities forward by enabling people to improve their lives.

Our findings led to the organization’s new brand name, Propel Nonprofits, and its empowering new theme line, Power Your Mission. We then developed a set of brand guidelines to ensure a consistent brand identity and a distinctive visual foundation for all marketing elements. The new brand voice helped assure the target audience that the newly branded nonprofits would continue as a winning combination for propelling lives and communities forward.
